Today marks the one year anniversary of the death, in a climbing accident on Mount Ruapehu, of our friend and colleague Paul McLauchlan.
Originally from Hertfordshire in England, Paul arrived in New Zealand in 2008. He worked on a range of projects, including residential, commercial and education jobs. Paul was the Project Architect for the historic Eastbourne Bus Garage restoration project, which was completed just weeks after his death. A bronze plaque has been installed on the building in his memory.
Whilst in New Zealand, Paul discovered a love of tramping, diving and climbing, and made the most of the outdoor lifestyle.
Our thoughts go out to Paul's family and friends, and he continues to be remembered here in the office by his friends at CCM.
