Set on the outskirts of the West Coast town of Greymouth, the design for a brand new 8500sqm hospital facility is currently in developed design stage.
The new Hospital demonstrates an innovative model of care with primary and secondary health services in one facility. Incorporating full emergency and support services, the hospital caters for 62 beds associated with three theatre procedural rooms. The building is set over one, two and three levels; straddling a natural ground escarpment with views to the ocean to the west and hills to the east. The remote location and challenging climatic conditions make this a unique project for the design team and a landmark facility for the West Coast.
